Have your Tea at Serenitea

Sesame (Roasted) Milk Tea with Panacotta

Nagasaki with Pearl and Panacotta

Chicken Chops

Peppered Tofu

Last August 4, 2012, I and my siblings went to Resort's World to  see "The Dark Knight Rises" (If you have not seen it yet, go watch it while it's still showing in theatres)
While waiting for the showing of the movie, we decided to stay at Serenitea. We ordered Nagasaki and Roasted Sesame Milk Tea and also some snacks, Peppered Tofu and Chicken Chops, to munch on. I suggest when you order tea, especially the ones already with honey, caramel, etc. at only 25% sugar level or else it would be too sweet and you'll easily get tired of it. It will also be healthier to add less sugar and you'll even get a better taste of the tea that your ordered.
I can't give you a clear description of the roasted sesame milk tea (Sorry! ) because I was not able to taste it, but my sister said that it tasted a bit different but good. Meanwhile, the Nagsaki has been my favourite since the first time I ordered it. Nagasaki is tea with honey, the others I've tried were the ones with caramel, brown sugar, etc. This one has a really good taste, I don't really like the one with the caramel since it smells like it was burnt. Nagasaki has a smooth, creamy texture and a right amount of sweetness. I goes well with panacotta and pearl as sinkers. :)
The snacks we ordered were not that unique, It was only fried chicken and fried tofu with pepper and salt, but it tasted ok and is really affordable. The chicken costs Php 70.00 while the tofu costs Php 60.00 and, it is good for two.

Dinner at Bizu

Waldorf Salad
(Sorry for the not so appetizing appearance, it was already mixed by my sister before I was able to take a picture of it.)

Truffle Cream Pasta (My Favourite!)

10-hour Roast Beef Panini

So last August 3, 2012, I had dinner with my sister and my father at Bizu in Greenbelt 2.
Bizu has been one of our preferred restaurants in Makati due to its pleasant ambiance, good service and delectable food. Aside from its most popular product which is the "Macarons de Paris", the other things found in their menu are absolutely worth a try.
What we ordered were Waldorf Sala (which was supposed to be our appetizer), Truffle Cream Pasta and 10-hour Roast Beef Panini.
For as long as I can remember I think this was the 2nd time I tried a Waldorf Salad. The first one I've tried is from the buffet at The Manor Hotel at Camp John Hay, in Baguio City. Comparing the two, the Waldorf Salad at Bizu has a better appearance and a fresher taste, the orange flavor was a a bit dominant, but it still tasted good. As I mentioned earlier this was supposed to be our appetizer. However, according to my sister, in French dining, salad is eaten last. So we decided to do the same, like a French! :)))
Our second dish was the Truffle Cream Pasta. since I've tried Truffle Cream Pasta from a different restaurant, it has been my favourite. Every time I see one on the menu, I always get tempted to order just to compare it among those I've already tried. If it's your first time to try a truffle cream past, you may not find its   scent pleasing, that was my first reaction. However when I tasted it... it was absolutely delicious. It's really hard to describe the taste aside from the fact that it is creamy. :)) Among the few truffle cream pasta I have tried, Bizu has one of the best and one of those that are reasonably priced. The first one I've tried cost around Php 600.00+ (this is good for two people) and the second one was Php 400.00+ (not even good for one person). Bizu's pasta cost only around Php 300.00 and it is more than enough for one person. So I say, you should give it a try.
Finally, our third dish was the 10-hour Roast Beef Panini. Among the food that we ordered, this one has made the least impact on me. It tastes good, however I don't much like the fact that it has fats (even though there were only small amounts of it). I was expecting only lean meat and no fat at all. Anyway, the beef they used was really soft and tasty (maybe it was really roasted for 10 hours). So, if your are a beef and a bit of fat lover, you should try this.

Saturday Dinner at Lorenzo's Way

Last July 14, 2012, I and my family went to Makati to bond, shop and of course eat. :)) This time we tried for the first time "Lorenzo's Way" at Greenbelt 5, since my parents told us that they ate here before and they want us to also try their food.

These are what we ordered:
1. Chicken with Garlic (not so sure with the name... sorry!)
2. Crispy Pata
3. Vegetable Au Gratin
4. Bangus with Kangkong Balachian

When we entered the restaurant, my first impression was it looks expensive but, I thought wrong because the food prices there were quite ok for a casual dinner. Their service was good and the ambiance of the restaurant has a homey feeling to it that will really stir a conversation between you and your family. I recommend it for Sunday dinners with your family or a gathering with a few friends. Not so much with a big crowd since most of the people who eats in the restaurant wants a comfy and calm environment. :)
Anyway, as to my comment with the food it was good especially their crispy pata since the meat was really soft that it literally comes off the bones. I also liked their Vegetable Au Gratin and Chicken with Garlic they were quite tasty. What I didnt really like much was the Bangus with Kangkong Balachian, since I'm not really fond of "Bagoong or Fish Paste" but, my parents finds it really tasty. So if you love Bagoong, I think you should give it a try. That's all! Happy Eating!!! :D
